I saw Mr. McKernan speak live at a seminar. He's a very passionate speaker. The book offered very common sense, logical approaches to lifes challenges and how to deal with them without some of the mumbo-jumbo approaches offered elsewhere. Recommended reading for some interesting insights.
I loved this book. I heard Philip McKernan at a convention and was very inspired by him. I purchased the book after and was very inspired by it.
A book written from the soul about the need to be authentic is what Philip McKerman has accomplished. This book is a great eye opener for anyone who knows deep inside that something is a bit "off" in their life.
Living a life well lived is based on living a life attuned to who you are. Through wonderful case histories including his own, Mr. McKerman has proven that it is doable for anyone who is willing to look deeply into their own soul and take the actions necessary.
This book is an excellent read! This book will definitely remind everyone that reads it to keep things in perspective. It really meant a lot to me since I was at one time chasing money. It is one of the few books I could pick up today, tomorrow or twenty years from now, and it will still be relevant.
Outstanding and well written book with many adventurous and fun short stories which help move the reader to a better understanding of their human potential, with understandings that make you beleive you can live your full potential. Highly recommend!
This is the most clear and comprehensive work that I have ever read addressing being your yourself or being as anybody else's wish. My eyes went wet in many chapters of ths book. I am in the journey to discover what is the purpose of myself on this earth, and really confused the excitement and passion Philip defines. The fear of not being loved by others, espesially parents is the root cause of inauthentic life, which only bring anxiety rather than being happy pursuing our own passion. Money makes us happy in the same way drugs can do; this is excitement. However it is 'doing' happy. Only when we chase meaning in our life in passion, we are being happy.
I downloaded this book after hearing this author at a recent conference.
Even though he only spoke for about an hour I was interested to get more.
I finished the book on the plane before I even reached home.
I have read a lot of self help books but this one was different to me.
It was simple and clear and interesting (based on other people's stories) and the message was well-received!
